Case Studies - Private Residence - Deptford, NJ - December 9, 2006 This expansive dwelling has a rich, documented history and has been home to multiple generations of the family who resides within. The original building was a firehouse. Once converted into a home, what is now a lower living room, was a neighborhood general store. The current residents called upon SJPR to see if we could document what they have been seeing and hearing in the house. It appears, though, that only the females in the house bear witness to the spirit activity, which includes apparition sightings, audible EVP, and the "typical" footsteps, banging, and door slamming. The men in the house have concluded that their women folk have active imaginations. SJPR investigators have found that the men just aren't paying attention... We offer you some of our jaw-dropping evidence! -Click on a photo for a larger image-

EVP EVIDENCE This home was just a treasure trove for capturing clear, often interactive EVP! Almost every SJPR investigator carries some sort of audio recording device throughout our investigations, which is one of the reasons we capture so many spirit voices. We have also developed techniques to put us more "in tune" with the spirits. We offer some of our more amazing clips here. *We encountered a foul-mouthed male spirit in this home, but can not post him here! His words of wisdom can be heard in the Adults Only Section of our website. As the investigators were preparing their equipment to begin the investigation, Investigator K. Groff recorded this female voice with what sounds like a British accent. She observes, "Got a light in his hand." Could the spirits have been commenting on an investigator's flashlight? Listen Investigator K. Groff was explaining our visualization techniques to the homeowner when she recorded this clear female voice saying, "That's really sad." Listen This is a truly amazing clip recorded by Investigator Halpin! As Investigator C. Groff states aloud that the spirits don’t like someone in the house right now (one of the SJPR members), a female voice chimes in, “Yeah, get outta here – get goin’.” She is chuckling as she says this, so we believe it was said “tongue in cheek.” Listen Throughout the investigation, several investigators reported seeing small shadows that they felt may be those of small animals, like a cat or dog. It was when Investigator K. Groff saw one of these shadows that she picked up the voice of a small girl saying, "Try Daisy...Mommy cranky." Investigators were talking when this was recorded and the child’s voice was sporadically spaced among the conversation. The original clip is offered here, along with an edited version with our voices cut out as best as possible. Even through the talking, she is loud and clear! Original Edited In this clip, you will hear Investigator Tornatore state that he felt chilled air near his arm. Investigator Halpin's recorder picked up a small child asking, "Like you're feeling something?" The voice is small, but pretty clear. Listen In another instance of cold air, you will hear Investigator C. Groff state that he feels cold air running up his arm. A young girl then asks, "Can you feel that?" It is unfortunate that another investigator happened to cough just as the child speaks, but she is still clearly heard. This was also recorded by Investigator Halpin. Listen As Investigator Tornatore was showing his team a picture he had taken, Investigator Halpin recorded this male voice chiming in, "Yeah, really...(dopey laugh)...right here." Listen We
recorded the voices of children this night, who seemed to want to engage the
SJPR team. Investigator K. Groff heard footstep on the stairs leading
up to the bedroom where she was seated. It was then that her recorder
picked up this young girl prodding, "Race ya?"
