Case Studies - Private Residence - Boothwyn, PA - July 14, 2007

We were first contacted by a 13 year old regarding this home.  She finds her hairbrush moved from a dresser to her bed; she finds her possessions in disarray, as if someone had picked up each item and then put it back in a slightly different spot; she sees ghosts walking in the hallway outside her bedroom; and she hears them sometimes.  She is convinced that she shares her room with the ghost of another little girl...

It seems that she was experiencing all kinds of paranormal activity, but she was the only one.  Her family didn't quite believe her.  It can be very distressing for a kid who is the only one in the house who encounters spirits.  Luckily for this young girl, her mother invited us to investigate.  Now that the results are in, her family doesn't think she's imagining this stuff anymore...

We offer some of the best evidence we captured from our night of ghost hunting in Boothwyn, PA.

On this night, the number of EVP and video events that were captured far outnumbered the amount of pictures we captured.  That's fine with us...we would much rather hear what a spirit has to say to us!  Although, a flip male spirit was rather nasty to our Investigator, Jim Tornatore, but that can only be heard in our Adults Only section!

This EVP, recorded by Investigator Halpin, is very exciting, even though it is not interactive!  You will hear the voice of a little girl, who is clearly British, state, "I didn't have any babies!"   Listen

Investigator Bove' stated aloud that she felt a male presence in the basement.  The male spirit then states with some surprise, "She feels me!  That was me!"  This EVP is interesting for a couple of reasons: First, it is very interactive and pretty clear.  Secondly, it supports the theory that spirits use the energy ambient noise in order to speak to us.  Listen carefully...when the spirit first says, "She feels me," it is a Class B recording.  However, at that moment, the home's air conditioning unit kicks on...as the spirit continues to talk, saying "That was me," his voice is Class A.   Listen

Investigator K. Groff encountered problems with her equipment while investigating the master bedroom.  You'll hear her in this clip, stating her camera stopped working.  You will then hear a male voice say, "That's pretty mean.  Everywhere not now."  The first part of the phrase is pretty clear, but the second part, although clear, doesn’t make a lot of sense.  Judge for yourself...   Listen

This one is crystal clear - and a bit spooky!  It was clear to all of the teams that there was a strong male presence in the basement, for which Investigator Bove' got the name "Ellis."  This entity is one of the main reasons the family called us to investigate.  The young girl who lives in the house is frightened by this male spirit, so Investigator Bove' was trying to make her feel more comfortable with the situation.  In this clip, Investigator Bove' can be heard telling the young resident to simply tell the spirit, "Okay, Ellis, I'm outta here."  The same deep male voice that was recorded earlier then states, "Yes, I'll be back."   Listen

Investigator Halpin was in the basement when her recorder picked up the voice of a curious young boy who asks, "Can I ask you a question?"  This one is very clear!   Listen

Investigator Bove' was teaching the young female resident about taking paranormal pictures and how you should always try to "reproduce" any anomalies captured on film.  It was at this time she recorded this female voice saying, "Ann, you go back and check."   Listen 

While in the basement, Investigator C. Groff was getting the impression that someone had died in this space.  It was at this time he captured a female voice saying, "Fast."  It's not be the longest EVP we've every recorded, but it is crystal clear.   Listen

Investigator K. Groff and her team were attempting to receive imagery in an upstairs bedroom.  The team then saw a strange red light move around the room.  It was at this moment that Investigator K. Groff recorded this male spirit saying, "Ouch...I did it."   Listen

While in a bedroom on the second floor of the house, Investigator K. Groff recorded a brief, but very clear exchange between two female spirits.  In this clip, you will hear a woman calling, "Ella?" followed by another woman (presumably Ella) answering, "Yes?"   Listen

As Investigator C. Groff was asking questions of the spirits aloud in the basement, he recorded this female spirit saying, "Ah, man..."   Listen

Only a moment after the above EVP was captured, Investigator C. Groff recorded a more helpful young female spirit asking, "Is there anything I can do?"   Listen

Investigator Bove' was actually a little creeped out when she found this male voice on her recorder!  Sitting alone in the dining room of the home, a surreal-sounding male spirit offers, "Stick with me...we never leave the light."   Listen

Investigator K. Groff was on the first floor when the team on the second floor asked if they saw a red light come down the stairs.  As they were discussing this visual anomaly, K. Groff's recorded picked up this emergent EVP of a male voice saying, "OR - Stat!"   Listen

This is not the most impressive EVP, but it is significant.  While in the dining room with the family's young daughter, both Investigator Bove' and the resident audibly heard this EVP of a "grunt," followed by a male saying, "Hiccups."  Investigator Bove' then asks, "What was that?"   Listen

Just moments before we ended our investigation, Investigator C. Groff recorded this female spirit announcing, "All done."   Listen

In this basement video clip by Investigator Agar, you'll see an orb fly towards the camera on the left, but then it sharply changes direction and flies to the right, directly in front of the camera.   Watch
